Advancement partners strategically with the internal and external stakeholders to build enduring relationships, secure philanthropic support and steward resources that enhance the students experience, fuel academic excellence and strengthen SAIC's impact locally and globally.The team leads a broad range of activities including fundraising, major and planned giving, advancement services and operations, alumni engagement and donor relations. By leveraging best-in-class systems, data insights and creative engagement strategies. Advancement ensures that SAIC can continue to provide world –class resources – from faculty support and scholarship funding to state-of-the-art facilities and innovative programs. Collaborations across departments, thoughtful stewardship and a commitment to community and creative are at the heart of the office's work.The Development Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Development/Major Gifts team by managing and coordinating all activities related to donor relations, donor events, fundraising campaigns, and other initiatives.ResponsibilitiesUnder direction of the Executive Director, supports the execution of fundraising activities and cultivation events, including managing project timelines, assisting with donor outreach, and other related materials.Assists with preparing reports and briefings for leadership.Performs administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, drafting communications for gift officers, and maintaining files and donor records in CRM.Supports the administrative aspects of events, including formatting and reviewing guest lists for accuracy, assisting with registrations/invitations, and other event logistics.Provides support to the team in the research and identification of potential donors.Prepares and distributes fundraising materials.Additional duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelors of Fine Arts preferredMinimum two years' experience in a development or fundraising role that includes supporting giving initiatives and solicitations, including database management, donor communications, and fundraising events.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to handle donor interest and personal information with tact and sensitivity, in a confidential manner.Ability to work collaboratively with a strong customer-service orientation.Ability to multitask while handling work expectations.Excellent organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail.Experience working in a CRM is preferred.Compensation & BenefitsHiring Range: $22.00 - $26.47 per hourThe expected hiring range is an estimated amount for positions based on the grade.
